Join the George’s Academic Training team for our short course in appraising scientific and clinical research. Delivered over 9 sessions, our course aims to:

• Equip students with information on research study designs, and an overview of techniques to read, comprehend, synthesise and appraise healthcare research.

• Introduce data analysis using R, with a focus on operations appropriate to meta-analysis.

• Explain the role of PPI in research design and how to appraise its implementation.

• Provide opportunities for self-appraisal of learning.

Each seminar will run from 1-2:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and will be led by specialist in the field.

The programme is open to all and of particular relevance to clinicians and allied health professionals who are:

  • interested in doing research and potentially developing their own projects,
