    Commencement of seminar
Atomtronics is an emerging field in quantum technology dealing with 'atomic circuits,' in which neutral matter-wave flows in versatile and reconfigurable micro-optical circuits, generated by laser fields or micro-magnetic circuits. Although devising new applications for computation, communication and sensing is a defining goal of the field, Atomtronics wants to enlarge the scope of quantum simulators to access new fundamental science.

The goal of the meeting is to follow up on recent achievements in cold atoms quantum technology, with a particular focus on Atomtronics. Applicative, experimental and theoretical aspects of the field will be covered.

Due to pandemic, the meeting will be virtual, via Zoom.

Poster sessions in Zoom break-out rooms will be organised.

Speakers

Some of the world’s most accomplished and thought-provoking experts in Advanced Materials will present their latest research on vital sub-topics.

About QRC and TII

Quantum Research Centre (QRC)
Quantum Research Centre (QRC)

Quantum Research Centre – at Technology Innovation Institute (TII) – has been created to develop world-class quantum-theoretical and experimental research by building and operating the first quantum computer in the MENA region while advancing quantum communications and quantum sensors.

The Centre aims to develop pioneering technologies backed by the expertise of an international team of leading researchers, dedicated to achieving a ‘Quantum Advantage’ which will transform the power and scope of computers.

Technology Innovation Institute (TII)
Technology Innovation Institute (TII)

Technology Innovation Institute (TII), the dedicated ‘applied research’ pillar of Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), is a pioneering global research and development centre that focuses on applied research and new-age technology capabilities. The Institute has seven initial dedicated research centres in quantum, autonomous robotics, cryptography, advanced materials, digital security, directed energy and secure systems. By working with exceptional talent, universities, research institutions and industry partners from all over the world, the Institute connects an intellectual community and contributes to building an R&D ecosystem in Abu Dhabi and the UAE. The Institute reinforces Abu Dhabi and the UAE’s status as a global hub for innovation and contributes to the broader development of the knowledge-based economy.
