Join us for the second session of the Strata Fundamental Series where we will explore Strata Law, Legislation and Contracts.

Session One I Strata Fundamentals I Strata Legal Framework (General) I 9:00am - 1:00pm I 2.5 CPD Points
Inclusions: Morning tea and lunch
Audience: Strata Community Manager Level 1

Strata communities derive their basic legal authority for their existence, activities and actions from state statutes (laws) and certain legal documents.

To effectively manage a strata community and inform and advise its owners, a manager must:
»  Understand the legal nature of the strata community they manage, as well as the scope and limits of its authority; and
»  Recognise when to consult with the strata community’s lawyer concerning the interpretation of statutes and documents. The purpose of this lesson is to give the relatively new strata community manager a clear understanding of their leadership and managerial roles and responsibilities in relation to the roles and responsibilities of owners and volunteer leaders.
