Sam Gilbert
Section: Cognitive Neuroscience
Sam Gilbert is Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, University College London (UCL). His research focuses on human frontal lobe function, goals and intentions, cognitive control, memory, and metacognition. His lab uses behavioral, computational modelling, and functional neuroimaging techniques. Dr Gilbert received an undergraduate degree in Psychology with Philosophy at Oxford University, followed by a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at UCL. Following postdoctoral work at UCL and NYU he took up a post as a group leader at UCL's Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience.

Alicia Izquierdo
Section: Behavioural Neuroscience
Dr. Izquierdo is a Professor of Behavioral Neuroscience in the Department of Psychology at UCLA. Her main research interests center on understanding the brain mechanisms of flexible reward learning and value-based decisions. Her lab uses a combination of behavioral, molecular, pharmacological, computational, and in vivo imaging and recording methods. Professor Izquierdo received a B.S. in Biology and Psychology from Emory University, and a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience through the Graduate Partnership Program between the National Institutes of Health and The George Washington University. After completing her doctoral work at the National Institute of Mental Health, she spent two years as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. Professor Izquierdo is active in a number of national and international organizations and initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion in STEM.
Orly Reiner
Section: Molecular and Disease Neuroscience
Orly Reiner completed her graduate studies, B.Sc. and M.Sc. at the faculty of Agriculture, The Hebrew University, and completed her Ph.D. at the Weizmann Institute of Science. She conducted her postdoctoral studies in Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, USA. She is a PI and Professor in the Departments of Molecular Genetics and Molecular Neuroscience at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Prof. Reiner has made important contributions to the field of neuronal genetics particularly in elucidation of the cell molecular mechanisms underlying the development of the rare brain disorder lissencephaly. She is the Berstein-Mason Professorial Chair or Neurochemistry, and is the Head of the M. Judith Ruth Institute for Preclinical Brain Research.
Hongyan Wang
Section: Cellular and Developmental Neuroscience
Dr. Hongyan Wang is Professor and Deputy Director of the Neuroscience & Behavioral Disorders Program at Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore. Her lab uses Drosophila and mammalian neural stem cells to model neurodevelopmental disorders and brain tumors. She is a member of the Asia-Pacific Drosophila Board and an elected EMBO Associate Member (2020).
